Hanging out with my brother in post-Christmas celebration and enjoying some good independent beer. Only 2 of the 11 coolers had independent beers and this is the one we chose, Porkhouse Pale Ale. I like their 6 pack holders. They seem to be more environmentally friendly than the normal ones even though they are more difficult to pull off.
With a fridge full of Flying Dog and Samuel Adams we were looking for something different for the evening. We needed to stop by the grocery store to pick up something for dinner; there is a liquor store next door that I normally will not go to but I thought let’s check it out. While perusing beer aisle, I remembered why I don’t go there, a medium sized cooler with 11 doors and not even two of those doors contained a local, micro, or “indy” beer. Yet with the small selection we found Porkslap Pale Ale, consisting of a slightly grassy taste that like many pale ales I have found it easy to drink ALL night long.
